Portlore

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of Portlore, a free guide to places worth visiting near cruise ports. Portlore is operated by Nic Richard in New Brunswick, Canada. By using Portlore, you agree to these terms.

1. Portlore is a guide

Place details, opening hours, walking times, and travel estimates come from third-party data and may be out of date or wrong. Check important details yourself before you rely on them.

You are responsible for getting back to your ship on time. Leave extra time for delays, and always follow the all-aboard time set by your cruise line.

2. Your safety

Use your own judgment when exploring. Portlore can't account for local conditions such as weather, closures, construction, or safety concerns in a particular area.

3. Third-party information

Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors, and place and travel details come from Google. Short place descriptions are written with the help of AI and may contain mistakes. Portlore isn't responsible for the accuracy of third-party information.

4. Acceptable use

Don't scrape Portlore, overload or disrupt the service, use automated tools to generate guides, or try to get around usage limits.

5. Availability and changes

Portlore may change, add, or remove ports and features at any time, and may be unavailable because of maintenance or technical problems. Portlore does not guarantee that every port has a guide or that the service will always be available.

6. Limitation of liability

Portlore is provided as is and free of charge. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Portlore is not responsible for losses that come from using it, including missed departures, travel costs, or relying on inaccurate information. Some laws give you rights that these terms cannot limit.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick and Canada.

8. Changes to these terms

Portlore may update these terms as the service changes. The latest version will always be posted on this page. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
